i bought this as a gift for my wife after hearing good things, expecting it to be a simple set-and-forget gadget. in reality, it's mostly lived up to that—it's easy to use, and the video quality is solid for catching any incidents on the road. the way it locks footage when it senses a shake has already come in handy once when someone tapped our car while parked. but honestly, the night performance could be better, and i've had to tweak the sensitivity settings to avoid it recording every little thing. as a parent, it gives me some extra security, and for the price, it's a decent buy, though not perfect. i'd recommend it with a few caveats.
- Pros: honestly, it captures video extremely clearly, like you can see every detail of the road, and the wide view means it gets almost everything in front without me having to adjust anything. when i'm parked, it starts recording if something moves, which is a huge relief for peace of mind. plus, it saves space by automatically deleting old videos, so i never run out of room.
- Cons: most likely, the night vision isn't as good as i hoped; things can get a bit grainy in the dark, and the motion detection sometimes picks up false alarms from things like tree shadows. also, it feels a bit cheaply made, which might not hold up over time.
