so, why did i buy this? well, as a freelancer with a kid, i needed something to make my life easier with the chickens, and this seemed like a smart choice. it does automate the door, which is great, but i've only had it for a couple of weeks, and i'm already noticing small inconsistencies. for example, some mornings it opens a few minutes late, and that has me a bit unhappy because i like things to be just right. on the bright side, it's sturdy and handles the seattle weather well, which is a big plus. would i recommend it? maybe, but with spme reservations. it's gpod, but not perfect :)
- Pros: from what i feel, it's extremely easy to set up, fitting my coop without any fuss, and it's built like a tank, handling all the rain we get here without a hitch. i love that it just works on its own, letting me enjoy my mornings without worrying abotu the chickens.
- Cons: but honestly, i'm a bit skeptical because it doesn't alays open at the exact same time every day, which makes me wonder about its reliability long-term. also, for the price, i expected it to be a bit more precise or maybe have some backup for power outages.
