i bought this as a gift for my husband who loves tinkering with cars, and we installed it together last month. as a teacher, i appreciate things that are practical, and this does the job but isn't perfect. the navigation is handy for our trips around la, no more guessing directions, which is a game changer. but it's not without its quirks—it freezes occasionally, and the responsiveness isn't always there. for the price, it's decent, but i expected a bit more smoothness. we'll keep using it, but i'm not blown away. overall, it's a mixed bag—good for basic upgrades but could be better.
- Pros: it's fairly easy to install and fits nicely in my lancer's dashboard, like it was made for it. the screen is really clear and bright, making maps and menus easy to see while driving. connecting my iphone works well, and it feels like my phone and car are finally talking to each other smoothly.
- Cons: it can be a bit slow sometimes, especially when switching between apps or loading music, which is frustrating when i'm in a hurry. the sound quality isn't the best—it's okay but not great for my music. also, the interface feels a bit clunky and not as intuitive as i'd hoped, so it takes some getting used to.
