as a brand loyalist to home of auto parts, i picked this up for my car since i drive a lot with the kids around nyc. i've been using it for a couple of weeks now, and overall, it's done a good job. the video is clear, and i appreciate how it captures everything without me having to do much. sharing clips with family is easy, and the mapping feature helps me keep track of routes. but yeah, it took me a bit to figure out how to get it working properly, and i wish it were smaller. still, for the price, it's a solid choice that adds a layer of safety to our drives :)
- Pros: the video quality is really sharp, so i can see details like license plates clearly, which is great for peace of mind. i like that it connects to my phone easily for checking footage without messing with cards, and it maps out my drives automatically. the night vision works well, making things visible even in the dark, and it saves clips if there's a sudden jolt, which feels secure.
- Cons: one thing bugged me: the setup was a bit tricky for a beginner like me, and it feels fairly bulky on the windshield. from what i feel, the connection to my phone can be slow sometimes, and the app isn't the most intuitive. also, the delivery was delayed a day, but it was fine in the end.
