This smart wall switch solves a problem many homeowners face: reliable control of lights in areas where Wi-Fi is weak or non-existent. Whether you need to manage a basement light from the kitchen or automate a detached garage, the YoLink switch uses LoRa technology to communicate up to a quarter mile. You get consistent connections without relying on your home network.
Setup is straightforward if your junction box has a neutral wire. The switch replaces a standard single-pole switch and controls up to 10A of lighting. Two programmable buttons on the switch face can also act as remote fobs for other YoLink devices. For example, you can press button 1 to trigger a siren or lock a door.
The switch works offline with other YoLink devices, so automations continue even if your internet goes down. Temperature protection adds safety by shutting off if it gets too hot. A YoLink Hub (sold separately) is required for app control and voice commands via Alexa or Google Assistant. Once paired, you can set timers and schedules from your phone.
