As a teacher I'm always looking for toys that are fun and educational and this one hits the mark fairly well My son and I spent an afternoon putting it together and the look on his face when it started moving was priceless :) The instructions were clear enough but I had to help out a bit which might be tough for kids on their own It's a solid choice in this price range compared to other STEM toys we've tried though it's not perfect Overall a good way to spark interest in science and engineering could be wrong but I'd recommend it with some supervision
- Pros: My kid was over the moon building this thing and seeing it move with just sunlight no batteries needed which is pretty cool and eco-friendly It sneaks in learning about science and problem-solving without feeling like a chore and works great for solo play or with friends
- Cons: The build was a bit tricky at times could be frustrating for younger kids and on cloudy days it doesn't work as well which is a bummer Delivery was delayed by a day but nothing major
