so, here's my self q&a on this thing: did it make driving safer? yes, having speed and other stats projected helps me stay focused. was it worth the buy? mostly, but it's not perfect. i've been using it for a couple of weeks now, and while i appreciate the convenience, i've noticed it misses some warnings that my car's built-in system catches. delivery was smooth—the courier called ahead, which i liked. as a brand loyalist, i had high hopes, but it falls a bit short. overall, it's a decent gadget, but i expected better performance for something that's supposed to be my co-pilot. :)
- Pros: from what i feel, it's very easy to set up—just plugs right into that port under the dash without any tools, which is a relief for someone like me who isn't keen on complicated installations. the display stays clear no matter the time of day, whether i'm driving under the arizona sun or at night, so i don't have to squint or take my eyes off the road. it's compact and doesn't clutter up my car, fitting in nicely with my other auto accessories.
- Cons: bottom line, i'm a bit disappointed because it doesn't always pick up all the alerts from my car, and sometimes the readings seem a bit off, which makes me question its accuracy. also, while it's customizable, tweaking the settings isn't as intuitive as i'd hoped, and it can be a hassle to get it just right. from what i feel, it could be more reliable for the price.
