I was expecting this to be a solid upgrade for my car's entertainment, and for the most part, it delivered. The display is crisp, and I appreciate how it integrates with my devices wirelessly. Setting it up was straightforward, which is good since I enjoy DIY projects. However, the occasional lag and average audio hold it back from being perfect. Overall, it's a fairly decent addition that makes drives more enjoyable, especially for my kid who likes watching videos on longer trips.
- Pros: The screen is pretty good and clear, making it easy to see maps or videos while driving. I liked that it connects to my phone without any wires, so I can play music or take calls hands-free. Plugging in a memory stick or card for more content works well, and the radio picks up stations fairly clearly. It also pairs with a backup camera, which helps a lot with parking in tight spots.
- Cons: As it seemed to me, the touchscreen isn't always as responsive as I'd like, sometimes needing a few taps to register. The sound quality from the speakers is just okay—not terrible, but not great either. I noticed it can get a bit slow when switching between functions, which is annoying during drives.
