Lorex AZT2KIDPT-E 4MP Pan & Tilt Indoor Smart Security Camera: Person Detection
Available Options

When it comes to keeping an eye on things, the Lorex 4MP Pan & Tilt Indoor Smart Security Camera doesn't mess around. It's got 2K resolution—because who wants to squint at blurry footage? Plus, with person detection, your phone won't blow up every time a leaf blows by. Just the important stuff.
Ever wanted to chat with your dog while you're out? Or maybe tell a delivery guy where to leave the package? The 2-way talk feature lets you do just that, straight from the Lorex Home app. (No, it won't order pizza for you. Yet.)
This camera doesn't just sit there looking pretty. It's got 360° coverage, so you can pan and tilt your way to peace of mind. And when you're done spying—er, monitoring—privacy mode shuts it down. Because even cameras need a break.
Got Alexa or Google Assistant? Then you're in luck. This camera plays nice with both, so you can boss it around with your voice. ("Alexa, show me who's knocking." See? Magic.)
And about storage—no cloud fees here. It comes with a free 16GB Micro SD card (upgradeable to 256GB if you're the type who records everything). Keep your videos close and your data closer.

I bought this Lorex camera after doing a lot of research, hoping it would help me keep an eye on the house while I'm at work or out with the kids. At first, I was very excited—the picture is clear, and the motion detection for people only is a lifesaver, cutting down on false alarms. But honestly, I'm a bit disappointed with some aspects. The installation wasn't as smooth as I'd hoped; it took me a good while to get everything connected and working right. I've had it for a couple of weeks now, and while it's mostly reliable, there are moments when the alerts come through late, or the app freezes up. Still, for the price, it does a decent job, and I like that I don't have to pay extra for cloud storage. It's not perfect, but it's a solid choice if you're willing to put up with a few quirks.
- Pros: The video quality is very sharp, making it easy to see details without straining my eyes. I appreciate that it only alerts me for actual people, not every little movement, which keeps my phone from buzzing constantly. Being able to talk through it is handy for checking in on the kids or giving instructions when I'm not home. It covers the whole room smoothly by moving around, and I like that I can turn it off for privacy when needed. Working with voice assistants is a nice touch for quick checks.
- Cons: The setup process was a bit fiddly and took longer than I expected, which was frustrating. Sometimes the alerts are delayed, making me miss things in real-time. The included storage feels limited, and I had to buy a bigger card sooner than I'd like. The app can be glitchy at times, requiring restarts to function properly.
