as someone who's fairly into home improvements, i picked this up for my kitchen remodel, used it for a couple months now, and it does the job well, the light is bright and covers the area without any dark spots, which is great for cooking, i appreciate that it doesn't overheat and handles insulation fine, but switching between the color temps feels a bit manual and could be smoother, maybe a remote or app would've been better, overall, it's a solid choice if you need reliable lighting, but not the most innovative out there, i'd recommend it with a caveat to check your ceiling depth first, and it's most likely worth it if you catch it on sale
- Pros: i liked how easy it was to install with the included guide and box, made it a no-sweat job for my diy project, the light output is strong and efficient, saving on power while brightening up the room nicely, and the ability to change the color from warm to cool is handy for setting different moods, plus it feels built like a tank with that insulation rating, so i trust it'll last a long time
- Cons: the switch for changing colors is a bit clunky, not as smooth as i hoped, and it only comes in two colors which might not suit everyone's decor, also the thin design means it requires precise ceiling space, which could be tricky in some setups, and while it's efficient, the initial cost might be a bit high for what it offers
