Google AI Transforms Fashion Concepts into Digital Designs for Shopping

Google’s Shopping experience just got a serious AI upgrade, making it easier than ever to hunt down those perfect fashion finds. After rolling out AI-powered product recommendations and a virtual try-on feature, they’ve dropped another game-changer. Now, you can sketch out your wildest fashion fantasies digitally, and Google will scour the internet to find real clothes that match your vision. (Yes, even that ‘pink socks with blue flowers and red polka dots’ idea you’ve been dreaming about.)

Here’s the deal: traditional searches can be hit or miss, especially when sellers don’t tag their items with every possible description. Google’s new feature cuts through the noise with vision-based matching. Describe your dream outfit in detail, and the AI whips up photorealistic images to help you find the real deal online. It’s like having a personal fashion genie at your fingertips.

To get started, just hit up the ‘Can’t find it? Create it.’ tool in the Shopping tab or look for ‘Create & Shop’ on the side-panel. Punch in your description, pick your favorite AI-generated image, and boom—you’re browsing matching items from across the web. No more settling for ‘close enough.’

Originally tested with the Search Generative Experience (SGE) crew in Search Labs, this feature is now live for all US mobile users. And that’s not all—Google’s virtual try-on is expanding to include pants and skirts, because let’s face it, tops are just half the battle. Plus, they’re leveling up the AR try-on for beauty products, so you can see how that lipstick or eyeshadow looks on you, courtesy of the slick new Gemini AI models. Because who has time for buyer’s remorse?
